Hey Guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, we will be discussing the planning for my music video. My final decision is to do the Lovefool by the Cardigans, with a storyline which shows a young lady (me) pining over a boy she is in love with. For my introduction, I am taking inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo’s lyric videos. I think that using origami hearts made of gum wrappers would be a good visual representation of teenage love. I would like to have an assortment of them to create a sort of collage, then use a series of pictures to create a stop animation of the middle heart unfolding into the title of the song. I will also be using actors to emphasize my storyline. I want one male actor to act like the boy I am in love with, and perhaps one female to act as the “other woman”. I would also like a couple more female singers to act as my backup singers, to emphasize the lovey dovey “dream girls” tone I am attempting to create. I want my outfit to be a slightly tacky valentine’s day ...
Hey Guys!! Today I will be discussing some music videos which are similar to what I would like to do for mine. As I said in my previous blog, I would like to do a pop song with a rom com type of feel, and I tried to keep this in mind when researching music videos. Lovefool by The Cardigan This music video follows the storyline of a young woman pining after a man. It includes many scenes of her gazing at him while the camera zooms in on a ditch angle, something that definitely adds to the story and that I plan on reacreating. Wusyaname by Tyler the Creator This music video also includes a man pining after someone, except a bit more literal. In the video, he follows this girl around, attempting to convince her to give him a chance, while she seems uninterested and tries to walk away. Lacy by Olivia Rodrigo This video is a lyric video which writes out the lyrics ion a paper surrounded by cute stickers. Although there is no storyline, the visual effects o...
Hey Guys! Today we’re going to talk about my editing process. During our filming, we ended up using multiple phones. Evidently, filming for hours may have an effect on one’s phone. Although Milana’s phone has the best quality, we ran out of battery quickly. I was not able to use my one due to storage issues. So, as a solution, we switched between Sarah and Sasha’s phone. But this did have it downfalls. As a result, all the clips were created across three different devices. So the first thing they did was upload all the content into our shared Gmail folder. The second thing we had to do was decide on our editing platform. I personally have the most experience with CapCut and Vimeo. The rest of my team also had significant experience with Capcut. Although, since this project was much longer, we decided to use iMovie. If any problems with this arise, we will use Capcut as a backup. So that’s it for the beginning of our editing process. Stay tuned for updates, we are so close to the f...
