Final Task Group Blog

Hey guys!! Today were going to talk about who I am working with for my Final Task. Previously, I have worked alone on both the commercial as well as the music video. Although this had its benefits, it also had many downsides. The biggest one was editing. I am not skilled when it comes to technology and often had many technical difficulties. It was also overwhelming to have so much on my workload. So when it came to the final task, a much bigger project, I decided to work with a group. This would ensure good collaboration and an equal distribution of labor within the workload. Additionally, I had strengths to contribute to the group, such as new ideas and suggestions, and I could learn more when it comes to my weaknesses. Okay guys, thanks for watchiing. I am so excited for how this project will turn out!!

  After the holidays I am ready to begin researching for our final task again. This time around we needed to identify websites to research titles on. A quick look on google provided an overwhelming amount of links for all sorts of websites. Some websites were good, some websites were bad. Art of The Titles was the first website I came across that looked promising. Instead of just another article or film discussion forum rambling on and on about how much they liked the titles, this website lets you watch the clip of movies with the titles in them. Since this website is dedicated to the title design alone, it houses examples that have artistic and well thought out title placements.  The next website I came across on my search to find one more so we can have all the title research we could possibly need, I found Watch The Titles. Planning for my Music Video

 Hey Guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Today, we will be discussing the planning for my music video. My final decision is to do the Lovefool by the Cardigans, with a storyline which shows a young lady (me) pining over a boy she is in love with. For my introduction, I am taking inspiration from Olivia Rodrigo’s lyric videos. I think that using origami hearts made of gum wrappers would be a good visual representation of teenage love. I would like to have an assortment of them to create a sort of collage, then use a series of pictures to create a stop animation of the middle heart unfolding into the title of the song. I will also be using actors to emphasize my storyline. I want one male actor to act like the boy I am in love with, and perhaps one female to act as the “other woman”. I would also like a couple more female singers to act as my backup singers, to emphasize the lovey dovey “dream girls” tone I am attempting to create. Final Task Pitch Blog

 Pitch A: Gustav Pavel has plans to spend a nice quiet evening alone but fate, and a door-to-door girl scout selling cookies has other plans. Pitch B: Four friends embark on a road trip to fulfill their bucket list, but their journey takes unexpected turns. Pitch A: The first issue we ran into with pitch A is that we would need a girl scout uniform or something to signal the door-to-door seller as a girl scout. Since we are older and finding girl scouts is already hard, we figured this would be an added strain. Also, most of the girl scouts our age do not wear a uniform so it is unlikely that we could get the materials needed. Additionally, we are a group made up of all girls. This pitch would require us to find a boy willing to film all two minutes without complaint if we wanted to do retakes.
