Production Blog- Preshoot

 Hey guys!! Today we’re going to be talking about some troubles I faced before shooting. My biggest problem was finding actors. I had trouble finding actors in general, but especially male actors. I could not think of anyone who I am comfortable enough with to shoot a music video with. More importantly, a male actor who was willing to do it. I am still attempting to find a male, but my backup plan is to use a female actor dressed as a male. Also, it is difficult to find actors who are willing to give up their time for the music video. Another issue was location. I decided not to shoot on campus due to technical logistics. Although it wasn’t what I had in mind, the park next to my school would be my best bet. Not only is it close to my school, but any actors who go to my school could easily come after. My largest downside is that the park is quite small and not very aesthetically pleasing. Also, it just wasn’t the image that I had in mind. My second backup plan was to shoot at a beach. This has a much more dreamier aesthetic, which is what I was trying to achieve. The largest issue with this is transportation to the beach. Also, the beach would be much more time consuming. Although a few problems did arise, many of them were thankfully quite minor and easy to resolve. Make sure to stay tuned in for my next blog! Bye guys!!
