Production Blog- Editing Research

 Hey guys! Today we’re gonna talk about the research I did for my editing process. I used several resources so that I could properly edit my video. Although, I will preface by saying that I am extremely disadvantaged in my technological abilities. Because of this, one problem that I faced was many of my research sources not being in depth enough for how inexperienced I am. But there were a few resources who really helped me step up my editing game!! One of the most helpful was WikiHow. I read an article of theirs which explained it in very layman terms along with pictures and in a step-by-step manner so that I could easily process the information given to me. Because I am a visual learner, TikToks also heavily aided me. Although they were in a very short time and did not go in depth as to how to go about the editing process. Despite this, I received many small helpful tips which improved my editing skills in small ways. Some of these included changing my IPhone camera setting to HD to improve quality. Another was keeping the camera still, then zooming in in the editing process, rather than physically bringing the camera closer. Another one was YouTube videos. They offered a very visual and engaging information, and went much more in depth in comparison to TikTok. One issue was that they did skip over some things and were generally fast paced.
