Production Blog- Finalization!!

Hey guys!!! Today we’re gonna be talking about how I put the finishing touches on my commercial. The first thing I did was make sure that the order made sense. I had to move some things around so it had more order. For example, I put my baby pictures before my current pictures. Another thing I did was check the time. My original commercial was about seven minutes. I didn’t think this was a good idea because many people have a shorter attention span. I thought 3-5 minutes was the right amount of time. In this way, I could tell my story without boring my audience. There were three ways I shortened my commercial. The first were to cut out certain scenes. These were scenes which seemed redundant and frankly unnecessary. My second method of cutting down my time was speeding up the music. I played the sped up version of some of the songs I chose. This actually ended up having multiple benefits. Besides cutting down my time, I realized that the sped up music caught more attention and fit into my commercial better. My last method of shortening my commercial was to shorten the time that i showed the collages. My initial commercial displayed my pictures for over thirty seconds, whereas my new commercial displays it for about ten. Since they are pictures, they did not need to be shown for a super long amount of time. After implementing all these changes, I effectively cut my commercial down about three minutes and made it more aesthetically appealing and interesting. My commercial was going to be PICTURE perfect!! Thanks for reading I’ll talk to you guys later!
